The Artists Workshop of Southern Oregon is a group of over 30 Rogue Valley Artists who meet every Monday to paint at an outdoor location in nice weather and indoors to paint models in winter. We create in all media: charcoal, watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel. We have an annual show and sale in August; 2017 marked our 33rd exhibit. Please contact Rick Evans if you are interested in participating in painting sessions or joining the Workshop.
Sharpen your vision and purpose, refine your skills and pursue excellence in your craft while enjoying the camaraderie of other artists who desire to bring glory to God through their art! Three days of painting and drawing with master artists of our day, resident artist Chris Hopkins, Thomas Blackshear and David R. Darrow, whose works have attracted the attention of a generation. Registration begins January 15th; conference takes place May 30- June 2, 2012.
We have a beautiful property on the McKenzie River near Springfield, Oregon and operate a 5-guest-room bed and breakfast inn. We're hosting 2 workshops instructed by superb watercolorist Carole Hillsbery of Florence, Oregon. May 16-17, 2013: Landscapes; May 18-19, 2013: Watercolor on Canvas. Please call innkeeper Karen Reid at 541-515-8153 to reserve a space in the workshop.
