A painter and poet, I play in the crossroads of art & spirit. My paintings are visual stanzas of a poem I will spend my life writing - with brush & pen. I've had the honor to create and exhibit art in the United States, Europe & Micronesia. "As with poetry, painting is either a battle or a dance. Given the choice between music & a sword, I choose music." It's a lovely dance. Anna teaches workshops in prophetic art and poetry; see her listing in the Teaching Artists directory.
Signa Hillis began painting on canvas in 2009 and has painted regularly for about five years. She uses lively colors and charming design elements to embellish verses from the Scriptures that have helped her navigate difficult situations in her own life, including her son's battle with cancer. Through her work she shares the most encouraging aspects of her faith with a lighthearted, uplifting style. Signa's original paintings are not for sale, but she offers fine art prints upon request.

Recently, I have been moved to explore the common ground between sculpture and painting. These pieces are made of paper and paper clay in combination with images from my paintings and mounted on wrapped canvas. I expect them to evolve and morph as I continue to explore this new dimension.
