Sue Bennett is a classically trained artist who paints to express beauty. "My intent is to capture the heart of the subject and I get completely caught up in it." Her paintings have been included in over 45 exhibits around the nation. She works most frequently in oil and enjoys watermedia and pastel.

I have a passionate and spiritual reaction to nature. And I paint my subjects in an attempt to recreate that emotional truth and excitement. I paint primarily with water media because I love its transparent quality, vibrant colors and unpredictability. Spirited interpretations of my subjects are somewhat realistic yet ethereal. Celebration happens for me when I successfully express what I attempt to paint…and to share…a soul connection.

The subject matter that I am interested in is representational. I strive to be thorough and accurate and yet catch what is fleeting and lively. The work I'm most proud of shows life as I see it: fatally flawed, but amazingly beautiful.

Carla has won numerous awards in local art shows and is presently the President of the Josephine County Artists Association. She paints portraits in oil, landscapes and still life in oils and pastel, and abstracts in acrylic. Her art hangs at Gallery One in Grants Pass, OR and at Rogue Gallery & Art Center in Medford, OR.

The beauty of Southern Oregon combined with my love to travel provides never ending opportunities to capture landscapes and nature images. The creative side of photography has moved me into many new directions. Working artistically with an image can transform a photo into an amazing work of art. Watercolors have been my creative source since the 1980s. I love exploring the endless possibilities this medium offers. Passionate about painting nature in my colorful, loose and interpretive style, I'm never at a loss for inspiration. My art hangs in collections in Koln, Bachingen and Reinsdorf, Germany; Krems and Vienna, Austria; Ryd, Sweden; Wales, UK, and many states throughout the U.S. I am a Watercolor Society of Oregon member.

A self-taught artist whose evocative style is accomplished with acrylics, inks, metallics and pigments. Pegi's paintings are in private collections in Switzerland, Australia and throughout the US, and were featured in the 2009 edition of "International Contemporary Masters." Her work is often available at many galleries and artisans' markets all along the West coast.
